Adopt A Pet

Are you looking for a playful, loving and smart dog? Then we have two that might be right for you! Anita is a 6 month-old Hound/Shepherd mix who would love nothing more than to find a home to call her own.  Chavela, a 7 month-old Spaniel/Chihuahua mix,  is another one who will melt your heart with her joyous spirit. She was rescued as a single pup so we are guessing at her parentage. Check our Petfinder page to see more adoptables. Meet some of them on Saturdays at the Petco, 1 Route 46 west in Totowa, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. If interested in adopting from Angels for Animals Network, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, no-kill animal rescue group, or meeting a particular animal, call or text Gizela at 201-655-5059 or visit

Lucas is a 1 year old lab/collie mix with a heart of gold and toes that look like dominoes. Even though he is about 50 pounds, he is positive that he is a lap dog, and loves spending my time snuggled up with his people! He's also a lot of fun, and always is up for a long walk or a ride in the car. Open the door, and he will hop right in. He loves to play tug with his rope, and while he'll never let you win, he promises to bring it back so you can try again. Lucas is housebroken, crate trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.

Spice is an amazing cat. She is a gorgeous dilute tortie and is the sweetest girl. She loves everyone including the dogs and cats in her foster home. Spice is spayed, up to date on vaccines and FELV/FIV negative.

FOWA Rescue can be reached at or 973-902-7515. All animals are up to date with shots and altered, and cats are tested FIV and leukemia. See for information on all the dogs and cats in FOWA’s care.
