Adopt A Pet

Oreo is such a happy fellow. This 3-1/2 year old Basset Hound/Terrier mix definitely shows his gratitude for being rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico. Both he and Anita, a 7-month old Hound/Shepherd mix, get along well with other dogs. She is also well-mannered, sweet and playful. Either would make a great companion. Check out our Petfinder page to see more adoptables. Meet some of them on Saturdays at the Petco, 1 Route 46 west in Totowa, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. If interested in adopting from Angels for Animals Network, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, no-kill animal rescue group, or meeting a particular animal, call or text Gizela at 201-655-5059 or visit

Bruno’s lucky day came when a vet tech from an animal hospital spotted him, scooped him up and took him to the hospital. This little grey tabby had wounds all over his body. The wounds on the tail were so severe that the tail needed to be amputated. The wounds on the rest of his little body are healing nicely. We estimate he was born mid-April and should be ready for adoption shortly.
Duke is a happy go lucky boy who loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home. He enjoys cuddles, play time and hanging in the yard. Duke would do best in an active and patient home. He is so smart and loves to learn, so training would be great for him and his family. We know there is the right family out there and they will adore him like we do.
FOWA Rescue can be reached at or 973-902-7515. All animals are up to date with shots and altered, and cats are tested FIV and leukemia. See for information on all the dogs and cats in FOWA’s care.
