Here are TAPinto Passaic Valley's pets of the week!

Carson is a handsome white and orange boy born in May. He loves attention and loves to be around people. He is a typical young male looking to play at every turn. Carson loves human company but, he  came in with his siblings, Addison and Harrison, so if you are looking for a pair, check out these three. He is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Carson, complete the pre-adoption application at www.startpets.net or call Kym at S.T.A.R.T. at 973-785-1245.

Dakota is a beauty! She is a very petite little ball of fire. She loves to pounce on her feline friends and she usually wins the wrestling match. She has grown into a beautiful lady with a smooth coat of medium length grey fur and a gorgeous plume of a tail. She is a special little angel who overcame a rough start. Dakota is an affectionate, friendly feline who loves to get your attention. She loves both her human and feline family and should easily adapt to a new environment. Dakota is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting Dakota, complete the pre-adoption application at www.startpets.net or call Lauren at S.T.A.R.T. at 973-785-1245.

You will definitely fall in love with Opal. She is a 16 week old 9 pound  chihuahua mix. Because of her tiny size we are recommending an adult only home or a home with older children. She is shy and sweet and just a total puppy so her new family will need time patience and love as she grows up to a fun loving sweet adult. FOWA Rescue can be reached at fowarescue@yahoo.com or 973-902-7515. All animals are up to date with shots and altered, and cats are tested FIV and leukemia. See www.fowarescue.com for information on all the dogs and cats in FOWA’s care.

Adrianna is a petite, amazing and beautiful kitty. She was pulled from a high kill shelter and ended up with a very bad upper respiratory infection that almost killed her. She is now all better and ready to find a loving home of her own. She is unbelievably social, outgoing, loving and gets along well with the cats in her foster home. She loves to be near her "person" either sitting in your lap or next to you on the sofa. FOWA Rescue can be reached at fowarescue@yahoo.com or 973-902-7515. All animals are up to date with shots and altered, and cats are tested FIV and leukemia. See www.fowarescue.com for information on all the dogs and cats in FOWA’s care.

To Our Current and Future Representatives

July 17, 2018

To Our Current and Future Representatives - Wherever They May Be:

We can never forget we are a nation of immigrants.

We cannot fall prey to fear, ignorance and anger when we  have been historically driven by freedom and justice.

We must have the courage and will to fight hate, bigotry and prejudice.

We must not wake up to what we hoped was a bad dream and ...
