Both of these friendly, sweet and playful boys arrived from Puerto Rico with quite different tales of hardship. Tyson, a 4 year-old Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix, has lived most of his life on the end of a chain and is just beginning to experience all of the good things in life. Reggie, a 6 month-old Hound mix, and his two sisters were discovered living in a cave by a tourist walking along the beach. Their mother was nowhere to be found. He cared for and trained them using whistle commands until they were placed into rescue. Check our Petfinder page to see more adoptables. Meet some of them on Saturdays at the Petco, 1 Route 46 west in Totowa, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. If interested in adopting from Angels for Animals Network, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, no-kill animal rescue group, or meeting a particular animal, call or text Gizela at 201-655-5059 or visit www.afan.petfinder.com

Peaches is an adorable dilute calico. She loves to be part of the action and also to sleep on your lap. She is fearless and very outgoing and gets along with other cats and loves to snuggle with them. Peaches  has the cutest little stubby tail that was likely broken at some point. It doesn't seem to bother her at all and gives her character.

Sydney has stolen a lot of hearts since joining the FOWA foster program. When we first heard his story it broke our hearts and we knew we could erase his pain and bring him joy. Sydney was found by a dumpster scrounging for food. His little body filled of bite marks clearly this little guy couldn't defend himself. When a rescuer found him he quickly went with her knowing it had to be better than life on the streets. Since coming to FOWA he has been settling in nicely, being a gentlemen to the other dogs in the house and will never say no to a cuddle and affection. He is about 7 years old and wants nothing more than to be loved.

FOWA Rescue can be reached at fowarescue@yahoo.com or 973-902-7515. All animals are up to date with shots and altered, and cats are tested FIV and leukemia.  See www.fowarescue.com for information on all the dogs and cats in FOWA’s care.
