BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Bloomfield Photographer Anthony S. Torres captured the spirit of the Rotary's annual fundraiser at the Manor on March 13.

The Montclair Rotary Club's 'Taste of Montclair' included restaurants and food crafters from Montclair, Glen Ridge, Nutley, West Orange, Fairfield, Hillsborough, Little Falls, Bloomfield, and North Caldwell.

When asked why he loves to be a part of the event, Torres said, "Besides the obvious helping charity aspect, I love supporting Taste of Montclair because it really gets me out to meet all of these restaurants and learn about my neighbors' businesses more. What makes it even better is that every single vendor is eager to tell you about why they love what they do, which gets you even more excited to go eat at their place."

Montclair Rotary President Alicia Robinson explained that the community, and surrounding communities come together in the spirit of service before self. One hundred percent of ticket sales from the event go to the charities supported by the Montclair Rotary Club including the Human Needs Food Pantry that supplies supplemental nutrition to neighbors in need up and down the Bloomfield Avenue corridor. S.O.P.H.I.A which helps women start out fresh after a domestic violence situation is also a beneficiary.

Chef Jesse Jones described Torres' work as "Fabulous job bro - You the man." It is that connection with people at events like Taste of Montclair that given Torres an invitation to the be official photographer of Taste of Bloomfield for the second year in a row.

"After covering last year's Taste of Montclair," said Torres, "It gave my wife and I a list of places that we needed to go to for date nights or family meals, and places we could recommend to our friends here."

Robinson told TAPinto that she was impressed with Torres work and included them in social media promotions leading up to the event. His photo of Jams by Kim's strawberry jam was used on the poster for the 2017 event.

The 2017 presenting sponsor of Taste of Montclair was CSBK. BMW of Bloomfield was also a significant contributor to the event. Taste of Montclair was the media sponsor of Taste of Montclair 2017.
