WOODLAND PARK, NJ - Did you know that everyday household items can be used to potentially sneak drugs into your home or classroom? Could you accidentally be purchasing drug concealing accessories and clothing for your child without realizing it?
BlueCrest Recovery Center is hosting a free event for parents, therapists, teachers and caregivers on Monday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. called "High-ding in Plain Sight." BlueCrest Recovery Center is located at 482 Notch Rd., Woodland Park.
More than 16% of American teens will become victims of drug addiction. Help protect yours by attending and get a rare look behind the drug scene at this event.
At the event you will be able to take a closer look at current drug trends and learn street proven detection tips. There will be a mock bedroom that will feature over 100 hands-on displays of drug placebos, popular paraphernalia, concealment devices and subtle danger signs. Kids can hide drugs in such items as holed out books, inside CD cases, behind vents, inside pockets of curtains, inside teddy bears and in hundreds of other every day items.
The event is free but registration is required. Visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/blue-crest-recovery-center-presents-high-ding-in-plain-sight-tickets-37766356188 to register, call 917-747-6798 or email Mael@BlueCrestRC.com.
