Boys Ice Hockey: Passaic Valley Defeats Paramus 4-2

HACKENSACK, NJ  - The Passaic Valley/Cedar Grove Hornets defeated Paramus in Hackensack on Sunday 4-2. 

Both teams found the back of the net in the first period, with Dan Lapinski assisted by Alex LoPresti and Vincent DiNardo striking first. Paramus' Sean Leonard followed with help from Ryan Oechsner and Eric Hegyi on a power play. 

Passaic Valley answered with three more goals - Lapinski assisted by Sam Giuffrida, Alex LoPresti,  and Nick LoPresti with assistance from his brother Alex. Matt Tomko added a goal for Paramus with help from Zachary Baker on a power play.

Passaic Valley's goalie, Nicolas DiNardo, had 20 saves in the game.

The Hornets host Tenafly at Floyd Arena in Little Falls on Friday at 6 p.m.
