LITTLE FALLS, NJ - Alex LoPresti delivered a hat trick for Passaic Valley/Cedar Grove in their 4-2 victory over Verona/Glen Ridge at Floyd Arena on Jan. 27.

Nick LoPresti started it off for the Hornets when he scored with help from his brother early in the first period. Alex scored the first of his three goals with 2:41 left in the first on an assist from Joe Kubu.  

Steven Topping put the Hillbillies on the board in the second with help from Armaan Rigby, but the Hornets quickly answered when Alex LoPresti scored again assisted by Vincent DiNardo.

Verona closed the gap in the third with a goal from Anton Martino, assisted by Topping. Alex LoPresti sealed the deal for the Hornets when he scored again, despite being down a man, assisted by DiNardo.  

Noah Vaquez had 23 saves for the Hornets and Shea Herko had 24 saves for the Hillbillies.
