WOODLAND PARK, NJ - North End School students were given a warm welcome as they arrived for their first day of school at their temporary home in Woodland Park on Monday.

On hand to welcome them, were Woodland Park Mayor, Keith Kazmark, Woodland Park Superintendent, Dr. Michele Pillari, Cedar Grove Superintendent Michael Fetherman, North End School Principal, Traci Dyer, Board of Education president Christine Dye and BOE member David Schoner.

Due to the discovery of high levels of asbestos during construction at North End School, the school cannot be opened for classes until January.  Cedar Grove  leased the McBride Ave. school in Woodland Park to house its first through fourth graders.  Students were bused from North End School parking lot to Woodland Park. North End's kindergarten and Pre-K classes were relocated to Leonard R. Parks School in Cedar Grove.
