Could New Brunswick Be One Stop Closer to Winning the Amazon HQ?

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - A new business magazine in New Jersey, ROI-NJ.com, is reporting that New Brunswick is one of four cities who have advanced to the next round of consideration to potentially receive the state's support to apply to become the home of Amazon's second headquarters.

Yes, this is all very preliminary, as cities and states across the nation are also trying to woo Amazon, with its 50,000 jobs.

New Brunswick is joining with Newark, Jersey City and Camden to lead the  20 or so locations that sent proposals to New Jersey. They have been asked to provide more information about their applications by the end of the week, ROI-NJ.com reports, quoting an unnamed source.

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority is reviewing all applications for Gov. Chris Christie, who plans to propose one or a mix of locations for consideration by Amazon..

This does not mean the other municipalities are out in the cold. They can still apply directly to Amazon, just without the state's endorsement.
