Fairfield Road Exit At Rt. 46 Closed Indefinitely Due To Emergency Bridge Work


Effective immediately, the exit to and from Fairfield Road off Route 46 in Wayne is closed to all traffic due to an emergency bridge repair.

The closure is expected to last for several month, according to Passaic County officials.

There will be no exit or access to Fairfield Road from Route 46 or from Fairfield Road to Route 46. Until repairs are complete, Fairfield Road will be a dead end  south of Two Bridges Road.

In addition, all trucks will be prohibited south of Demarest Drive.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and follow detours.
