WOODLAND PARK, NJ - Anthony Galietti Jr. was sworn in as the newest constable at the March 15 Woodland Park Borough Council.

Galietti, Jr. will work on a voluntary basis to help with town functions that may include municipal court security and/or borough events.He currently works in the municipal maintenance department for the borough.

"Tony is a proud Marine and will make a great addition to our team of constables here in town," Mayor Keith Kazmark noted. "It's helpful to have someone who is like a jack-of-all-trades, like Tony is."

A constable is a person holding a particular office, most commonly in criminal law enforcement. The office of constable can vary. He or she may be an official responsible for service of process: such as summonses or subpoenas for people to appear in court in criminal and/or civil matters.
