Get the Feel of Flying at Open Cockpit Weekend at the Aviation Hall of Fame

TETERBORO, NJ - History and airplane enthusiasts will be welcomed during open cockpit weekend at the Aviation Hall of Fame on Aug. 19 and 20 in Teterboro.

Aircraft cockpits will be fully open for fans of flying to get a feel of what it might have been like to be a pilot in the past. The display includes a:  

  • Lockheed Bushmaster
  • Convair 880, circa 1958
  • M*A*S*H Bell helicopter
  • OV-1 Mohawk observation plane
  • Cobran Gunship helicopter
  • Walter Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting truck

In addition, the only surviving Martin 202 Airliner will be on display for people to visit the passenger cabin and cockpit. The aircraft was operated by TWA beginning in 1950.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission for Adults is $10 and children and Seniors is $8. Access to the Museum is included.

The Aviation Hall of Fame is located at 400 Fred Wehran Rd., Teterboro.
