CEDAR GROVE, NJ - With 16 points and a dozen rebounds, Elyse Fearon led the Cedar Grove Panthers to a 47-30 win over Passaic Valley at home on Saturday.

The Hornets took control in the first period and outscored the Panthers 12-5, however Cedar Grove answered back in the second allowing PV only five points and scoring 12. Entering the second half tied 17-17, the Panthers came out strong and took a 31-23 lead to end the third quarter.

Cedar Grove's dominance continued into the fourth where they went on a 16-point run, allowing the Hornets only seven points.

Daniella Cordasco and Alyssa Lever each delivered eight points for the Panthers and Jessica Sinisi scored seven points and snagged eight rebounds in the winning effort.  

Alyssa Sole led for the Hornets with 16 points.

The win improves the Panthers to 9-2 for the season. They travel to Barringer on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Assembly Democratic Bill to Ensure Safety of Special Needs Students on School Buses Clears Assembly Panel
