HACKENSACK, NJ - Alex LoPresti delivered two goals and two assists to help lead the Passaic Valley/Cedar Grove Hornets ice hockey team to a 6-1 victory over the River Dell Golden Hawks at the Ice House in Hackensack on Friday, Jan. 19.

PV/CG got on the board early with a goal from Matthew O'Donnell, assisted by Matt Nelson, early in the first period. The scoring continued for the Hornets in the second period with Alex LoPresti's first goal, with help from Nick LoPresti and Vincent DiNardo, at 12:07 left in the period. DiNardo followed that up with his own goal aided by the LoPresti brothers with just under five minutes left to play in the second.

PV/CG kept up the attack with Dan Lapinski adding to the score assisted by Kyle McCarthy at the start of the third period. River Dell avoided the shut out when Vinny Ruff found the back of the net with 6:57 left on the clock. The Hornets answered that and sealed the deal with a second goal from Alex LoPresti, assisted by Sam Guiffrida and a goal from Nick LoPresti, with help from Alex LoPresti.
