Ice Hockey: Passaic Valley/Cedar Grove Ties Paramus Catholic 3-3

LITTLE FALLS, NJ - In a back and forth game, in which no team led by more than one goal, the Passaic Valley/Cedar Grove Hornets skated to a 3-3 tie against the Paramus Catholic Palladins at Floyd Hall Arena on Friday night.

After a scoreless first period, the Palladins struck first with a goal from Gregg Trapp with just over six minutes left. Jack Prospero answered for the Hornets and just seconds later Dan Lapinski also found the back of the net for PV/CG with help from Alex LoPresti giving the team a 2-1 lead going into the third period.

PC tied it up with a goal from Alejandro Castro, but Alex LoPresti's goal on an assist from Lapinski reestablished the Hornets the lead.  PC's Jason Lastra made it a tie game once again with a goal with just over three minutes left in regulation play, which proved to be the final goal of the game.
