LITTLE FALLS, NJ - After being named the regular season champs, the Jackals were eliminated from the playoffs in a game 4 loss at home last night. The Jackals entered the playoffs with the most wins, and having their star shortstop, Art Charles, be named league MVP.

After a great 11-2 win at Ottawa, the Jackals would go on to lose game two 4-3, despite a late inning rally by the Jackals who were trailing 4-0.

Looking for a momentum shift, the series went to Jersey for game three. The Ottawa Champions dominated the 6th inning, recording 5 runs, and raced out to a massive 7-1 lead. Despite the Jackals best efforts to rally back in the 9th, they would go on to lose 8-3 heading into a must win game four.

Game four was a must win game, for the team who has not failed to make it to the championship series since 2010. Ottawa got out to an early 3-0 lead when league MVP Art Charles hit a single in the bottom of the 3rd to drive home Bladel and cut their deficit to 3-1.

Unfortunately for the Jackals, Ottawa answered back in the 4th inning when Daniel Bick hit his first home run of the season, with a man on base. Ottawa jumped out to a 5-1 lead.

Despite best efforts, Ottawa would go on to win 7-2 and advance to the Can-Am championship series. Ottawa goes on to face the winner of the semi final series between Quebec Capitals and Rockland Boulders.

NOTES: The Jackals miss the Championship series for the first time in 6 years.

Quebec and Rockland play tonight, September 11th, at 6pm.
