Little Falls Education Foundation Oktoberfest Success

LITTLE FALLS, NJ - The Little Falls Education Foundation recently hosted its second annual fall fundraising event. The theme was “Oktoberfest” and the event took place at the Russian Hall.

The Hall was aglow with beautiful decorations, complete with beer bottle candle holders on the tables, paper lanterns hanging from the ceilings and many festive fall decorations. There were many Oktoberfest beers and the delicious food completed the theme.

There was also lots of dancing to great music played by a fantastic DJ.

The big event of the evening was the silent auction. Party-goers bid on great items such as Rangers tickets, Giants tickets, a beer tasting at Blu Ale House and dinner for six at the new Blu Grotto restaurant on the grounds of Monmouth Racetrack - just to name a few.

This year’s event gathered twice the amount of people - over 150 and the Education Foundation raised more than five times the amount of money they raised last year - thanks to everyone’s enormous generosity. All proceeds from the event get donated directly to the Little Falls public schools. A large portion, just over $10,000, was donated this fall in the form of 27 grants to the teachers, which covers students in all grade levels: kindergarten - 8th grade.

The next fundraising event is being planned, so visit the group's website often for details at www.littlefallseducationfoundation.org
