LITTLE FALLS, NJ - One third-tier prize winning ticket was sold for the Oct. 2 Mega Millions drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize, according to the New Jersey Lottery. The ticket was purchased at Little Falls Beverage & Bar, 315 Main St., Little Falls in Passaic County.
If that ticket had been purchased with the Megaplier option, the prize would be multiplied to $30,000. The winning numbers for the Oct. 2 drawing were: 02, 22, 29, 31, and 34. The Gold Mega Ball was 01, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.
In addition, 49 other players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. Five of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $1,500. Moreover, 59,041 other New Jersey players took home $251,130 in prizes ranging from $2 to $600.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold the winning tickets,” said James Carey, New Jersey Lottery acting executive director. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”
The next drawing will be held Friday, Oct. 5 at 11 p.m. Mega Millions tickets cost $2; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra $1 per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times.
