WOODLAND PARK, NJ - Passaic Valley Hose Co. 2 is planning two fundraisers, its annual "shake-a-boot" collection and a pig roast. Funds raised will help the company build a much needed addition to house rescue equipment.

The "shake-a-boot" event will be held during the weekend of May 31 to June 3, with rain dates set for the weekend of June 7 to 10. Company members will be soliciting donations at the following intersections within the Borough:

  • McBride & Lackawanna Avenues;
  • Glover & McBride Avenues;
  • Hillary Street & McBride Avenue
  • Browertown Road near the entrance to the Fairway Market & Kohl's shopping plaza/Capital One Bank; and
  • Squirrelwood Road near Jackson Avenue.

A pig roast and luau is planned for Saturday, June 23 from 4 to 10 p.m. at 1070 McBride Ave. Enjoy a Hawaiian themed dinner, with pig roasted on a spit, complete with all the fixins.
