Passaic Valley Hose Co. 2 Plans Fundraisers To Help Build Addition To Store Equipment

WOODLAND PARK, NJ - Passaic Valley Hose Co. 2 is planning two fundraisers, its annual "shake-a-boot" collection and a pig roast. Funds raised will help the company build a much needed addition to house rescue equipment.

The "shake-a-boot" event will be held during the weekend of May 31 to June 3, with rain dates set for the weekend of June 7 to 10. Company members will be soliciting donations at the following intersections within the Borough:

  • McBride & Lackawanna Avenues;
  • Glover & McBride Avenues;
  • Hillary Street & McBride Avenue
  • Browertown Road near the entrance to the Fairway Market & Kohl's shopping plaza/Capital One Bank; and
  • Squirrelwood Road near Jackson Avenue.

A pig roast and luau is planned for Saturday, June 23 from 4 to 10 p.m. at 1070 McBride Ave. Enjoy a Hawaiian themed dinner, with pig roasted on a spit, complete with all the fixins. There will be chicken as well. Your $60 donation includes complete dinner, dessert, coffee, tea, water, and soda. For tickets, contact Lisa at 973-568-9095 or email wazi01@aol.com.

Street Hockey Program Open To Children from Passaic Valley area, Cedar Grove

WOODLAND PARK, NJ - The WP Boys & Girls Club is planning registration dates for its summer street hockey program. The program is offered to all residents of Woodland Park, Cedar Grove, Totowa and Little Falls, who are currently in kindergarten to eight grade.
