LITTLE FALLS, NJ — The plank is a powerful core exercise, where one maintains a position similar to an elevated push-up for an extended amount of time. 

Jodi Cortes, fitness instructor at Main Street Cycle and Barre, inspired a group of women for six months to challenge their plank limits each week in a willPower & grace® class. Each client set a plank challenge goal, where they competed to see who can hold the longest plank. The studio held an end of the year plank challenge during the willPower & grace® class at the end of the year at the boutique fitness studio located in Little Falls.  

Helen Castiglione of Woodland Park held her plank for an amazing 25 minutes 45 seconds. Katie Rubin of Cedar Grove came in second, holding her plank for 20 minutes and 10 seconds. These women came together as a group and showed determination, strength and willpower.
