Police Release Name of Victim in Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Fairfield; Investigation Continues


NEWARK, NJ — Cesar Alberto Garcia Tapia, 28, of Paterson has been identified as the victim of a fatal motor vehicle collision in Fairfield on Friday, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Fairfield Police Chief Anthony Manna announced today.

On Friday at approximately 12:40 pm in the vicinity of Passaic Avenue and Little Falls Road a Suzuki GSX motorcycle and a Ford F 150 collided.

Tapia was transported to Saint Joseph's Hospital in Paterson where he was pronounced dead.

The Fairfield Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision.

The investigation is active and ongoing. At this time no charges have been filed.
