Public Safety Training Institute To Offer Self-Defense Class in Totowa


TOTOWA, NJ - A four hour self-defense class for people of all levels of skill, who are 18 years of age and older, will be offered by Public Safety Training Institute, LLC on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Totowa United Methodist Church.

Participants will have to opportunity to raise their awareness of aggressive behaviors, and recognize how it impacts their lives. The program will also prepare participants to reduce aggression and violence in a situation of conflict, and practice hands-on self-defense skills to resist and escape aggressive behavior directed at them. The program is designed for the average person with no previous experience or background on physical skills training. This training will run for 1 to 5 p.m.. Spots are limited, and pre-registration is required.

To register email or call 908-963-9714. Registration is $25. Checks are payable to Public Safety Training Institute and can be mailed to 105 Church St. Totowa NJ 07512. You may also bring your payment in cash or check to the church office Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Street Hockey Program Open To Children from Passaic Valley area, Cedar Grove

WOODLAND PARK, NJ - The WP Boys & Girls Club is planning registration dates for its summer street hockey program. The program is offered to all residents of Woodland Park, Cedar Grove, Totowa and Little Falls, who are currently in kindergarten to eight grade.
