GLEN ROCK, NJ - Getting 'gassed-up' took on another meaning when a New York City woman attempted to fill a red Solo cup with gasoline at the Glen Rock Exxon.
On Jan. 26 at approximately 6:30 p.m., a 31-year-old New York City woman attempted to serve herself a cup of gas, 10% of which is ethanol, in a red Solo cup, police said. When a female attendant told her she needed to purchase a gas container to buy gas, she agreed to do so, but then became "irate," according to police.
A "physical altercation" broke out between the two, police said. The woman, and a witness, left the scene prior to police arrival. The witness did not wish to become further involved.
All parties involved were subsequently identified and interviewed by officers, police said. Both women have been advised of their right to sign a complaint with the Glen Rock Municipal Court if they desired. Responding officers did not witness the incident.
