Totowa Library Plans Safe Sitter Course for Tweens, Teens

TOTOWA, NJ - The Borough of Totowa Public Library, 537 Totowa Rd., is offering a, "Safe Sitter" course presented by St. Clare's Training Center on Saturday, June 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Totowa Public Library.

This is a nationally recognized program for 10-14 year old babysitters, covering infant and child CPR, obstructed airway procedures, and rescue breathing. Topics such as telephone calls, visitors, water hazards, diapering, feedings and basic first aid are discussed. Participants receive a program course completion certificate.

The cost per person is $75. Make check payable to St. Clare's Training Center.

Does your family have a new dog or puppy that needs to get trained? You do not have to spend a fortune training Fido. Come to Passaic County's free dog training sessions in Goffle Brook Park in Hawthorne. Classes are held every Monday and Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. through June, July, and August.
