TOTOWA/WOODLAND PARK, NJ - One of the main reasons why the West Paterson and Totowa Fire Departments started the annual Holiday Lights parade last year was for the toy drive held during it.

Last year, over 700 new toys were collected and donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Tennessee. This year, as the parade had to be canceled due to the public health emergency and for the safety of everyone, the fire departments are still holding a toy drive, to benefit children at local hospitals.

Anyone wishing to donate a toy this year still can do so by dropping it off on the following dates:

  • Monday, Nov. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fire Co. 3, 357 Rifle Camp Rd., Woodland Park
  • Monday, Dec. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fire Co. 3, 357 Rifle Camp Rd., Woodland Park
  • Monday, Dec. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fire Co. 1, 11 Mitchell Ave., Totowa
  • Sunday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fire Co. 3, 357 Rifle Camp Rd., Woodland Park
  • Monday, Dec. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fire Co. 3, 357 Rifle Camp Rd., Woodland Park
  • Monday, Dec. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fire Co. 1, 11 Mitchell Ave., Totowa

The holiday lights parade committee would like to thank the following sponsors because even though the parade was canceled this year, all the sponsors will be giving their donations towards the toy drive.
