WOODLAND PARK, NJ - The Borough of Woodland Park has been running a weekly Farmers Market that will be running every Saturday until Oct. 24. The market is held in the parking lot at 1225 McBride Ave. and runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Attendance has been growing each week due to quality of products and advertising, organizers say. Many vendors have been selling out of products each week, so shoppers are encouraged to come early for the best selection of produce and products.
In addition to fresh vegetables, herbs and plants, the event features local food and artisans. This weekend, confirmed vendors include Angel Family Farms, Do-Re-Mi Farms, Pickle Me, Eat My Balls, Rosie's Empanadas, Spice Grove, Spices of the Sun, Cano Coffee, Paolo's Kitchen, Mom Bun Candles, Mexi Boys, Crystals in Copper, J&R Cookies, Stix & Stones and Clean Temple Essentials.
Residents are really enjoying the event, according to Alfred Baumann Library Director Linda Hoffman. It gets them out of the house and socializing, she said, in addition to supporting local farms and vendors. The Library and Borough Recreation Department are organizers of the event.
Interested farmers and vendors should contact Donna Novak at 973-973-8120 at the Library or the Recreation Department at 973-345-8100, ext. 213 or email@example.com.
Volunteers are also being sought for the event team. Call the above contacts if you are interested.
