Woodland Park Library Celebrates Participants of its Winter Reading Program

WOODLAND PARK, NJ - The Alfred H. Baumann Free Public Library held a cupcake party on April 13 to celebrate the accomplishments of the participants of its "Warm up With A Good Book" winter reading program.

Close to 60 children and adults attended the afternoon event, held during the school district's spring break.

Over 120 children participated in the winter reading program and they collectively read 1,346 books.

Allie Steiger, youth services librarian, congratulated the children and noted that the library was busy planning for its summer reading program, which will kick off on Thursday, June 15 at 5:30 p.m.

The library will kick off "Build a Better World" summer reading program with a visit from "Field Station: Dinosaurs!". Children of all ages are welcome. The event will be held across the street from the library in the municipal council chambers.
