Woodland Park PBA Ball Support Programs, Activities For The Community

The Woodland Park PBA Local 173 is planning its first annual awards cocktail ball on Friday, March 23 at the Westmount Country Club at 7:30 p.m.

The PBA relies on its supporters to help them fund programs and activities for the community such as Coffee with a Cop, National Night Out activities, participation in Trunk or Treat and more.

This year the ball will honor Woodland Park Police Department Capt. Eileen Tiernan, who will be retiring from the force, and Department of Public Works Superintendent George Galbraith, who has been working for the borough for over 40 years. The PBA will also honor its local business partners Xclusive Cuts, Perfect Shine Auto Salon, Gas Depot and Westmount Country Club.

WPPD Det. Dan Dugan said that the PBA planned this event as a cocktail ball rather than a sit-down dinner in order to provide members of the department a more informal opportunity to interact with its guests.

Tickets for the ball are $100 per person. For tickets contact Det. Dugan at 973-345-8117.
