Woodland Park Police Promote Sgt. Mike Brady To Lieutenant


WOODLAND PARK, NJ - On May 9, Woodland Park Police Department Sgt. Mike Brady was promoted to lieutenant before the Borough Council, family and friends, and nearly all his fellow members on the force.

"Over the last year it became evident there was a need to change the table or organization within the police department," Kazmark said. "We are very pleased to promote Mike from sergeant to lieutenant."

Brady is an 18-year veteran of the department. Prior to joining the WPPD, he worked for the state at the NJDOC from mid-1999 to 2000.

"What I find most rewarding about police work is being able to help people and assist them at a difficult time in their life," he said. "I also find that trying to be a positive influence with youth is a very important part of what we do."

The challenges of police work, at the same time, he said, is sharing in the toughest of people’s experiences.
