Crosby and his siblings came to us from a backyard in a local community. Born in mid-March, 2017, the trio were all a little nervous, never having seen the inside of a home or felt the touch of a human hand. We wanted to give them a chance and hoped that they would come around to indoor life. Lucky for us and for them, they all became true sweethearts but may still need a little patience. It was incredible to hear all three of them start to purr! Crosby is an adorable buff tabby boy and still tends to get a little nervous at sudden movements. He feels completely at ease once he is in your arms or playing with your shoe laces! Food and your lap are definitely two of his favorite things. He would love a feline friend in his forever home to pal around with and make him feel safe. Crosby is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting Crosby, please complete our Pre-adoption application at www.startpets.net or call Lauren at S.T.A.R.T. at 973-785-1245.

It’s not often that we bring in senior kitties from the outdoors, but that’s where we found Earl. He finally got tired of roughing it and walked right in someone’s door. A few bumps and bruises needed to be tended to, but overall not in bad shape for an old guy. Born in August, 2008, Earl is a solid black boy with a bit of a drool, probably the result of a few missing teeth. Earl gets along well with other cats, though tends to be a bit of a food hog when they’re not looking. He loves the attention of a petting hand but needs to work up to being picked up. Earl would make a wonderful companion and just needs a place to call home. Earl is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Earl, please complete our Pre-adoption application at www.startpets.net or call Lauren at S.T.A.R.T. at 973-785-1245.

We’re not sure why no one comes to see Carlos - he is a big, loveable goof - your typical pittie! He gets pretty exuberant, though, so he would be better with older kids so he doesn't knock them over. But he's a good boy with a big heart who just wants to give big sloppy kisses!

Misty is the perfect cat! She’s unbelievably sweet and friendly and loves meeting new people. But she is also not a kitten, so she is mellow and calm – no curtain climbing! Just one look into her pretty green eyes and you’ll be in love!
