LITTLE FALLS, NJ - Little Falls children recently gathered at Brookdale Park to help decorate rocks for a “Rocks of Hope” event. Children collected rocks and added encouraging, positive and happy messages to them. They then left the rocks around the park as well as in the “Rocks of Hope” garden for others to take.

A group of parents and staff from Lacordaire Academy called “LacordaireCares” initiated the event as a way to get children involved in spreading kindness in the community. September was National Suicide Prevention Month and a perfect time to spread extra kindness.

The turnout was great and included both students from the school and local park goers who joined in from all local communities! Hopefully as people comes across these “Rocks of Hope” it brings a smile to their face and brightens their day.

Little Falls fourth grader Sophia Coussoulis said, "I had a really good time and I liked it because I hope someone finds our rocks and smiles."
