The Kingsland Manor Presents A Wine and Spirits Prohibition Party

Prohibition officially began on January 17, 1920, when the Volstead Act went into effect.

Join us as we observe the centennial of this failed national experiment.

Come as a flapper or come as you are,

Dress as a gangster or silent screen star,

It is going to be fun, no matter the dress,

Just bring yourself, and we’ll do the rest.

1920s dress is encouraged, but not mandatory.

If you are lucky and not suspicious, you may gain entry to the basement Speakeasy! Bus McGinnity set up this Nutley watering hole in the 1920s, thumbing his nose at national laws. Bus, and his cast of local characters, will recreate this bootleg scene with Phonograph DJ MAC spinning 1920s shellac records.

Sample a wide array of wines and spirits at this Wine Tasting event, plus enjoy a variety of appetizers, desserts and coffee/tea, and receive a complimentary wine glass.

I was not what one would consider a ...
