CLIFTON, NJ - The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the City of Clifton invite residents to explore the changeable history of tea during the 19th century at a special event on April 18 at the Hamilton House Museum, 971 Valley Rd.
Learn about the various types of teas available and the expanded offerings of food which accompanied tea, and discuss the difference between afternoon tea, cream tea, and high tea. This presentation will be accompanied by a tasting of popular 19th-century teas as well as a few tasty treats which would be offered during afternoon tea. This fundraiser supports the Hamilton House Museum in preservation and programming.
