EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - For everyone who attended the "Rebuilding Warriors - One Dog At A Time " events at the East Brunswick Elks, or who were part of the "Metro Diner" fundraiser, or participated in the project in general, this beautiful girl "K9-Elk " is the result of everyone's hard work and generosity and, of course, the support of the community members who to come to these events. It is so super important and helpful to these vets.
Rebuilding Warriors is a registered 501 (c) (3) Non- Profit charitable organization that provides service dogs to honorably discharged veterans. This is K-9 Elk who recently received her Service Dog Vest and will begin training very shortly so that she can be presented to her companion in 2020. Many thanks to everyone who attended events at the East Brunswick Elks, and many other Central Jersey Elks Lodges, “Metro Diner” Fundraiser, and Tommy Aboussleman for your generous support.
Rebuilding Warriors provides highly trained and socialized Service/Companion Dogs to Veterans diagnosed as amputees as well as those with PTSD, (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). Most of our dogs are bred especially for this mission and have a highly sought after demeanor. We provide these dogs to Honorably Discharged Veterans from any branch of the Armed Forces or from any service era meeting our eligibility standards as well as First Responders, says their website.
On Saturday Jan 25th 2020, the Elks will be hosting their next Rebuilding Warriors - One Dog At A Time event. It will be a great night and to support what all of these folks do and of course especially for our Vets who we can never thank enough for their service and sacrifice.
This is what it's all about and one of the many reasons I admire and respect these folks.
