PASSAIC VALLEY, NJ - The Totowa Public Library, Little Falls Public Library, and Alfred Baumann Library in Woodland Park are joining forces to bring a fun summer reading party to Passaic Valley High School students.
This year, PVHS collaborated with the libraries to make summer reading fun and accessible this summer. Students in all three towns are required to join their hometown library’s summer reading program, complete the requirements, and bring their completion certificates to school in September. All three library directors agree that this is a win-win. Students will have the opportunity to learn about what their libraries have to offer and they can complete their requirements by reading books of their choice for the sheer pleasure and joy of reading.
The three youth services departments are looking forward to working together to bring a fabulous program for the teens based on the popular play “Dear Evan Hansen.” Teens should read the novelization or script prior to attending. Activities will be based on the play and teens will earn points toward their goal. The event will be hosted outdoors at the Totowa Public Library. There will be limited space and social distancing measures will be in place. Check the flyer for details on how to register. Copies of the book are available at the libraries and on Hoopla.
