The Little Falls Public Library, Alfred H. Baumann Public Library in Woodland Park and the Totowa Public Library will be having their annual “Food for Fines” month during February.
They will be accepting food donations such as canned meat, peanut butter, meaty soups as well as baby food, canned fruit, vegetables and, cereal. Personal hygiene items such as soaps, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. will also be collected. In addition, pet food will also be accepted and to be distributed to local pantries. These items will be collected by CUMAC, a local food pantry.
Each item overdue can be paid with one food item (non-perishable food only). This program does not apply to lost or damaged materials. Stop by the Totowa Public Library, located at 537 Totowa Rd.; the Alfred Baumann Library at 7 Brophy Lane; or the Little Falls Library at 8 Warren St.
Patrons without fines are more than welcome to make a donation.
