WOODLAND PARK, NJ - New trees are being planted throughout town. The Borough's tree removal fund, which totaled over $40,000, much in part to the removal of trees for the NJ Department of Transportation's Route 46/Route 3 project, has funded new tree plantings around town at no cost to taxpayers. Trees have been planted in the parks and around the local fields.

Thanks to this funding, the Borough was able to remove tree planting from the work bids put out for McBride Avenue streetscape phases, saving grant money to allow for additional streetscape improvements. The Department of Public Works has done all of these plantings in house and will do additional plantings this fall.
