September marks the back-to-school season, yet it is also another reminder to the tremendous stressors in the lives of youth and adults. September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and the organization Mental Health First Aid will be hosting training sessions to bring awareness, identify, understand, and respond to youth in crisis. With mental health struggles prevalent and not common place discussion, breaking barriers and being a support for someone can be life saving. These free workshops will take place on Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Montville Senior House, 356 Rote 202, Montville. Participants must be at least 18 to attend.
