WOODLAND PARK, NJ - The Borough of Woodland Park launched a Farmers Market last week that will be running every Saturday until Oct. 24.
The first event on July 18 was a great success. Many vendors on site sold out of some of their product.
There will be some new additions this week that organizers are excited about such as nut-butter, fresh ground coffee, and organic elderberry syrup vendors. The first 25 guests will get a free reusable bag courtesy of the Friends of the Alfred Baumann Library. Get there early to get the best selection of produce and products. The Library will host a socially distanced storytimes beginning at 10:30 and throughout the day. Stop at the table for a free craft, while supplies last.
In addition to fresh vegetables, herbs and plants, the event features local food and artisans.
The market is be held in the parking lot at 1225 McBride Ave. and runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Interested farmers and vendors should contact the Donna Novak at 973-973-8120 at the Woodland Park Library or the Recreation Department at 973-345-8100, ext. 213 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
