PASSAIC VALLEY, NJ - Some 250 to 300 people took to the streets of the Passaic Valley region Friday evening to support "Passaic Valley for Community Justice."
The marchers began at the Totowa Police Department and walked in to Woodland Park via the Hillery Street Bridge. They walked down McBride Avenue and on to Browertown Road, heading in to Little Falls and ending the walk in front of Passaic Valley High School, where several speakers addressed the crowd.
The peaceful march was led by local police, who blocked off roadways to allow their safe passage. Many of the walkers carried signs and chanted as they walked in solidarity.
More coverage will follow on the event.
