RED BANK, NJ:  When contacted, Red Bank Police Chief Darren McConnell said, “Last night around 12:30am we responded to a wellbeing check at 85 Bank Street, Red Bank.  Officers found 5 Male subjects unresponsive.  EMS from Red Bank (Alert Ambulance), as well as surrounding towns and MONOC paramedics responded.”

Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene and three were taken to Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center.  At this time their condition is unknown.  The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office reported that the two men who died, were 29 and 35 years old.  

Police said all were given Narcan and some were administered CPR.

Narcan is a medication called an “opioid antagonist” used to counter the effects of opioid overdose, for example morphine and heroin overdose.

Red Bank Police and the Monmouth County Prosecutors' Office are investigating.
