The 3rd annual Paterson Poetry Festival is set to be held again at the Historic Passaic County Courthouse.

Festival goers will be practicing their first amendment rights using the courthouse stairs as a stage.

The two-day event, will begin with Volume I on Saturday October 3, and continue with Volume II Sunday October 4. The festival will run from 10 AM - 6 PM on both days.

Participants are expected to be COVID-19 compliant by wearing a mask, using the provided hand sanitizer, and remaining socially distant.

Scheduled feature artists include: Nicolas Hornyak, Jaycen Moody, Chris Rockwell, Crystal Letters, Gia
Grillo, Uninvited Maine, and Resume Poetix.

Volume I will also include the Poetry in Motion Car Show organized by Joseph Williams and Classic Riderz Car Club while Volume II will conlude with a serenade from Craig Redmond and C Dreams to close the night.

A sneak peek at the Paterson Public Library production of the play A Lesson Before Dying will be
performed by Now Theater and is scheduled for both days of the festival. Reknowned artist, and Paterson native, Lewis Cole directs. 

One of the highlights of Volume II will be the opportunitiy for audience members to participate in a massive master class hosted by In Full Color, an award-winning organization that empowers women of color through education and the arts founded by Summer Dawn Reyes.

By the end of the session, participants will have birthed a new poem into the world which they can use for the open mic sessions.
