LITTLE FALLS, NJ - Little Falls Fire Department President Michel Burke lost his battle with COVID-19 coronavirus. Messages of condolence to the Burke family, his friends, and the community at large have been expressed most of the day.

Singac Fire Company regrets to announce the passing of Michael Burke. As all know, he was one of the most passionate men in this world. A man that would do basically anything for anyone, a man that always left his mark no matter where he went. Mike was the face of not only Singac Fire Company but the entire Little Falls Fire Department where he served as our president. Singac will never be the same, and you are missed beyond belief already; but we promise to carry on every bit of tradition you have instilled in all of us. -Singac Fire Company

It is with a heavy heart to say that Heaven gained a wonderful angel this morning. A true hero, Mike Burke was always there to help in whatever way he could. He had a contagious smile and laughter that could fill a room. He led the Little Falls Fire Department with pride and perseverance, while valuing tradition.  - Enterprise Co. 2

Today Little Falls PBA/LFPD, Little Falls Fire Company #3 and the Township of Little Falls received some earth shattering news. Long time Fire Fighter, father & friend, Mike Burke, lost his battle with Covid-19. For those who didn't know Mike, he was the epitome of what Little Falls and a public servant represent. Honor, integrity, bravery, commitment, compassionate are only a few words to describe Mike's personality. People like Mike only come around once in a lifetime and we are sure sad that this lifetime will be without him. Our deepest condolences go out to the Burke family and all of his friends and Fire Department family. "Never goodbye old friend, just see you later.”  - Little Falls PBA 346
