WAYNE, NJ – At 9:55 a.m. on Sept. 30, the TD Bank branch on the corner of Valley Road and MacDonald Drive triggered its panic alarm. The Wayne Police responded, arriving in minutes. However, the thief had fled before they arrived.

A joint investigation was conducted by the Wayne Police Department, the Passaic County Sheriff's Department and the FBI, and led to the apprehension of the suspect in Little Falls the same day. 

Philip Mcgrantham, 69, of Little Falls, was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery and fourth-degree theft, according to Wayne Police Det. Capt. Christian Wittig. Mcgrantham is being detained at Passaic County Jail pending his central judicial processing court appearance.
