WOODLAND PARK, NJ - The Woodland Park Stigma Free Task Force is planning a color run on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Zaccaria Park, 310 Rifle Camp Rd.

Registration will start at 8 a.m. and the run starts at 9 a.m. There is a $10 registration fee and the first 100 paid registrants will get a free event t-shirt. Kids under 5 are free. Please pre-register online at wpstigmafree.org. Payment can be made the morning of the event. Kids and adults are welcome to join the fun. Please provide protective eyewear for children such as goggles.

What is a color run? It’s a short, fun run where participants wear white or light-colored clothing and throughout the course are splattered with an assortment of powdery colors. The powders are a non-toxic combination of baking soda, cornstarch, and safe dyes. Even though it is safe, it may take a few washes to get the color completely out of your clothing; washing your outfit right away works best. Some people wear glasses or goggles to keep the color out of their eyes and use a bandana to keep it out of their mouth.
