1st Annual Oktoberfest and International Food Festival


PATERSON, NJ- The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Friends of Passaic County Parks are hosting the 1st Annual Oktoberfest and International Food Festival on Saturday, October 14th from 3pm to 10pm at the Garret Mountain Reservation Boat House, located at 8 Mountain Avenue in Woodland Park. 

Enjoy the food and heritage of Germany, as well as food from the various cultures that make Passaic County so diverse. The event will feature award-winning food trucks from across the State, as well as craft IPA beers brewed locally. 

Patrons can also enjoy live music and traditional Oktoberfest competitions, such as Stein Hoisting, Keg Stacking, Corn Hole, and Tug-O-War.

The event is being sponsored by Paul Miller BMW and Ketel One Vodka. In addition, UBER has provided patrons with the promo code Passaic20, which provides new app users with 1 free ride no matter the distance.

The entrance fee for the event is $5 per person.

I am writing this letter to express a grave concern I have regarding the influx of absentee ballots. To my understanding, absentee ballots were designed to be used by those who are unable to make it to the polls on Election Day. Such as people in the armed services or those who are away on vacation. 

This year’s municipal election will be one for the history books.
