PATERSON, NJ - A third weekend shooting left a 35-year-old man with gunshot wounds Sunday.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald the victim was located in the area of Pennington Street and Park Avenue at approximately 7:56 a.m.
Paterson Fire Department EMS was first on the scene providing treatment to the victim who was then transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Center.
A potential crime scene was located about a block away, the report says.
On Saturday 31-year-old Paterson resident Jacquese Mills was found lying on the sidewalk outside 59 Godwin Avenue with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene. Hours earlier a 21-year-old Paterson man arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound that occurred in an incident said to have taken place in the area of 15th Avenue.
