39 Year Old Male Gunned Down in 'Broad Daylight' on Madison Avenue

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Paterson Police Department Deputy Chief Heriberto Rodriquez and Paterson Police Department Director Jerry Speziale announce the shooting death of Juan Martinez, age 39 years old, of Paterson, New Jersey, in the area of Madison Street and Essex Street in Paterson, at approximately 4:45 PM on May 1, 2017.

The victim who initially was injured was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he later died as a result of the shooting.

No arrests have been made at this time. Authorities are seeking information regarding multiple people observed in the area at the time of the shooting. The investigation is on-going.
