PATERSON, NJ - A 56-year-old Paterson woman suffered a single gunshot wound early Tuesday morning when gunshots were reportedly fired near 32 Jefferson Street, according to Deputy Paterson Police Chief Heriberto Rodriguez.

The victim, who was not identified, was immediately transported to the hospital and later released.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announced that the shooting occurred at approximately 12:12 a.m. on August 1.  No arrests have been made. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
